To counter point the "uh-huh uh-huh breasts" style responses, I have to say that as a mother that is as good a baby afterlife as I can imagine - ultimate peace and happiness for all eternity. :)

It really is kind of a sweet idea.
It's also a really interesting counterpoint to some of the more brutal aspects of Aztec religion.

So....

How much exp is the Pope worth? :p

Not as many as you'd think. Most of his levels are probably in Expert rather than Cleric and that brings his CR down a bit.

In the interests of accuracy, I must point out that Ygorl is not, at the present time, considered official, kind of like St. Christopher and modrons.

I wonder what the official stance of the Slaadi union will be...its bad enough that torture exercises were being off-planed to Elemental Plane of Chaos as it was, but to lose their whole plane! I smell a strike coming.

yeah, wouldn't have expected it from the Aztecs... But I only know the "popular wisdom" on them and wouldn't be suprized to find some of that was propaganda. ;)

Read the Divine Comedy. Limbo is merely the upper, outer ring of hell, before things start getting interesting. It is not a plane, or even a place, unto itself.

Funny article, though.

Don't forget about the St. Peter thing: "Whatsoever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven," and all that. Check out the Kevin Smith movie Dogma for a more whimsical take on the idea - a cardinal inadvertantly almost undoes all of existance in an extension of this.

Yeah, but that only applies to one of the outer planes. I'm sure if you tried touting that over to Carceri, you'd be told "I'm sorry son, but you're a little outside of your jurisdiction, here".

Then they'd invite you to stick around for a while.

:p

Wait. You used the word "official" in relationship with the Slaad. Not to mention the notion of "organized labor" for Slaad. You obviously need to rest and take much penicillin.
