Post your monster CR complaints here

The topic about the rhemoraz CR got me thinking. What monsters do you think have a CR that is out of step with the challenge they present?

I can think of a few examples off the top of my head (including the already mentioned rhemoraz):

Girallons. Probably the #1 offender in my book. There's no way a creature that can deal well over 50 points of damage in one round should be a CR 5. Even if it only hits with two of its four claws, it does about 40 points of damage (20 for claws, 20 for rend). And that's not including the bite attack.

Ogres and bugbears. They're both CR 2. Ogres are probably about twice as powerful as bugbears, and they're considered to be the same challenge? Give me a break. An ogre could concievably drop a 2nd level character in one hit without a crit; there's no way a bugbear could do the same.

The tendriculous. 94 hit points, regenerates 10 hp per round, only takes normal damage from blunt weapons and acid, has improved grab and swallow... CR 6?

Dragons. Don't even get me started. Most of these CRs are way too low.

Anyone have any other monsters to add?

All fiends (Demons, Devils, Yugoloths):

Their HD are woefully under-powered. Look at the Marilith (~80 hp) at CR 17! Ridiculous... The Vrock is probably has the most inflated CR of all fiends. It won't be able to hit crap when fighting 13th-14th level PCs.

***SPOILER for The Standing Stone below***

The running joke in our gaming group is the Vrock with levels of Bard (a la Cuckoo). When you take a useless monster (Vrock) and combine it with a useless class (Bard), you get a super-inflated CR that is easy to kill, but gives tremendous XP.

The Malebranche (devil) from MM2.
The Ibrandlin from Monsters of Faerun.
Every single Yugoloth printed (MM2 and Manual of the Planes)

I don't have MM2, what's wrong with the Mountain Giant?

CR 26

AC31, ref +10, will+10, no SR

In melee combat it will devastate characters. However, it's AC is really low and the saves will make are a joke against 26th level characters.

On the other hand, one Dominate Monster and the party would probably have a pretty useful ally. Heh.
