So, this "green roniiiin" pronounciation. I'm not a native english speaker, is it common to pronounce "ronin" lika that, almost like it's rhyming with "green"?

Sounds weird to me.

The continental "i" sound, which rhymes with "green" is the way it is indeed pronounced in its native Japanese. The main English pronounciation is different, but that is because "i" represents a different sound in English than in pretty much any other language. Great Vowel Shift and all...

That's hpw I've always said it. I suspect that everyone who knows the origin of the site pronounces it that way. Those who don't probably have a mish-mash of pronounciations.

I've always thought it was 'N' World, even though I knew it was initials, because there aren't any dots. Like how NASA isn't en-a-es-a.

I know the origins, but still call it "N-world" - If an acronym is pronouncible, you pronounce it. :)
Ditto. I call it "N-World" too.

I know they are Eric Noah's initials, but two contributing factors:

1. The "N" in the logo is smaller than the "E".
2. How do you pronouce the Ennies? "EE EN EEZ" or "EN EEZ"?

Some feedback to Chris here:

I'm listening to the podcast now, and I'm enjoying it, but it's very difficult to keep concentrated on what's being said for 72 minutes. I'm frequently zoning out and have to rewind and re-listen to parts of the podcast with regular frequency.

And I probably can't sit for the full 72 minutes. Which makes it unlikely for me to listen to the whole thing.

So my suggestion is that you produce shorter episodes, and/or create clear "sections" which are themed "Welcome to part 2 where we talk about the OGL" and so on) and seperated by distinctly different audio content, like a bit of music, or a quick review/preview by another speaker, or just 15 seconds silence.

Otherwise it becomes a rambling mess, at least for me.

Other than that, I like it. But it can get better. More structure would help immensely.

The most educational thing for me?

If I ever do a podcast, I will know to turn my frickin' phone, pager, blackberry, et cetera OFF. Not set to quiet or vibrate, but OFF.

And not have any one else talking in the same room, or a nearby one.

I share these sentiments. I rewound a whole bunch of times.

Yeah, it wasn't exactly very subtle who they were talking about.

There was that portion of the program when they mentioned retailers carrying product simply based off of having some old-school TSR designer's name on it. And then when on to discuss the arrogance of said old-schooler publishing product for a system without bothering to learn its rules. I wonder if that was specifically and exclusively targeted at Jim Ward.
