Prestige Classes for Bards or Sorcerers?

How about the Spymaster? Or the arcane trickster?
I had a great desire to make my bard a spymaster but Song and Silence made Innuendo a prereq., which bards inexplicably didn't have as a class skill in 3E. I don't know if it was revised when they dropped Innuendo from 3.5 though. Same deal with arcane trickster and disable device - it's almost like they design PrCs so bards can't get them easily or something.
I guess duellist, horizon walker and shadowdancer would be the easiest ones to get in 3.5, though several are attractive as bard PrCs.

Eldritch Master

For those of us not near our Dragon magazine collections, could you summarize the Eldritch Master prc, so we can determine whether it's worth the trouble to dig up?

In a nutshell the Eldritch Master is a spell casting class without bonus casting lvls, only more spells. At each level the EM gains more spells known and its lvls stack for effects (5sorc 2EM=7d fireball) but more spells per day does not increase. It gains choices of low lvl spells it can cast as supernatural abilties, and twice can add spells from other types besides arcane (bard, divine, ranger, druid, ect...) to their list of spells to choose new spells known from. EM can also detect magic at will, and has other flavorful abilities as lvls are gained, it's a 10 lvl class too.

Hope that helps Savage,

Monk of Mirth

Sorcerer PrC's:
Exalted Arcanist (Book of Exalted Deeds)

Man, not many WotC Sorcerer PrC's :\

???!

Tome and Blood (v3.0 but still usable) has many prestige classes available.

The candle caster is kinda hokey but it gives you the ability to make candles like scrolls to hold spells. You can metamagic them and everything.

The alienst, if that is it's name, the PrC where you slowly turn into an outsider.

The elemental savant.

And all of those have full spell progression, iirc.

I even saw a familiar based PrC.

However none of those have the "gather intel" feature that was originally asked for.

the best one that i know of would be the loremaster in the DMG.

bard prestige classes

Excellent bardic pdf splatbook is the Enchiridion of Mystic Music by S.T. Cooley and available at www.rpgnow.com you can see reviews of it in the review section here.

Librum Equitus Compiled has a dark bard one and a master spy type magical bard one.

They are both 3.0 to my knowledge, although the Enchiridion might be updated to 3.5, there have been revisions since I got my review copy.

In the Complete Book of Eldritch might there is a variant bard with different magic, and a supporting prestige class, they are 3.5. I think they originally showed up in 3.0 versions in the Book of Eldritch Might II.
