There's no way Joss Whedon would ever allow someone to just replace Sarah Michelle Gellar in the role of Buffy Summers. That Australian girl may become the new slayer, but I don't see her as being the next Buffy.

FYI, she was an actress before she was a pop start (not an especially good one or anything, byut then again neither is SMG)... and she's pretty hot if that matters to you. I can think of worse things than a new slayer show with HV in it...

I have to say that is one healthy looking woman.

However, I would take issue with any actress portraying Buffy besides SMG. It would be too much of a stretch to just switch the two. Now, if she was a cousin or another Slayer, that would be fine with me, as long as she can act.

Seriously, this sounds like an unsubstantiated rumor. I'm kinda partial to having Dawn succeed when Buffy dies.

I've always considered the original Buffy movie completely inconsequential to the series in general. I do agree with your Dawn comment, tho. I've always liked her character and thought she was underused.
