Psych's Twin Peaks episode

having only seen an episode or two of twin peaks WAY back in the day, i know I didn't get all the in-jokes and references. But I was familiar enough to recognize what was likley one (some of the same actors, the characters, puns on names, some of the visuals, and so on).

was some fun stuff and a nice homage

I didn't make the connection until I saw Laura Palmer lying there with the blue lips. Having Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee and Ray Wise, etc., was awesome.

I don't normally watch Psych, but I was roped into watching this episode for the Twin Peaks schtick-- and it was a lot of fun!

I missed the first bit and was getting really worried since it kept silent on the matter of
the dancing midget in a red suit
, which, quite honestly, happens to be one of the formative experiences of my youth. But, in the end I was rewarded for my patience, if not quite in the way I expected. :)

Just re-watched and I love the Log Lady bit!

For those who don't know Twin Peaks; one of the minor characters in the show was the Log Lady, played by Catherine Coulson. The Log Lady carried around a small log, claiming that she had a psychic connection with it, talking to it and speaking for it as a kind of medium.

In Psych the same actress walks out of a building holding a log, looking down and talking to it. A beat later a small boy follows her out of the building and it's clear that she was in fact talking to him. Cut to Sean and Gus:

Sean: Wow, that was close.

Gus: Yeah, that would have been going too far.

Sean: Definitely.
