Question RE: Energy Substitution

Jackylhunter

First Post
Ok, here's my question. I have a Druid, with the Energy Substitution(Sonic) Feat.
(DM House ruled on allowing Sonic)

Now, what happens when I apply that feat to the spell Storm of Vengence. The spell causes Electrical and Acid damage, so would only one Energy type be changed to Sonic, or would both of them change to sonic?

Thank you for the help.

That's not a houserule. That's just allowing the use of the Deities and Demigods feat with the 3.5 upgrade. :)

I don't recall storm of vengeance, but does it have an energy designator? If not, I don't think you can apply the feat. If it does, then all the damage would be of the new type.

No descriptor. Do you think that was intentional or just because they couldn't decide on which descriptor?
I personally feel that there are not enough descriptors and they are not used as much as I'd like, but in this case I think that it was intentional. I don't think they felt it possible to use two descriptors, since it wouldn't make sense with one. I'd like to see it with two descriptors, and on a similar note, I'd like to see flame strike with [Fire, Divine] to make it clear that the one half is not [Fire] damage.

Thanks guys, i guess I should have looked at the descriptor before I posted, oh well. And I agree, I'd love to see more, and more consistant discriptors for spells.

Thanks for the answers,
