Questions for Necromancer about Necropolis

JohnRTroy

Adventurer
Hi guys,

As a guy who owns Mythus, MM, all of MMM, JJ, Epic of Aerth and of course, Necropolis, I have a few questions for you.

Note these are spoilers for those who don't want to know stuff. I don't expect answers, but maybe this will whet some of the EN board members appitites.

Did the country details found in the original module make it into the new adventure? Y'know, all the political stuff, armies, etc?

The Ghulaz and Gholle--while there two Demon patrons of them, did you guys get what appears to be an implied connection to Yeegunoll(sp?), the Demon Lord of both Gnolls and Ghouls. (I always felt these guys were a hybrid of some sort).

What did you end up calling the Supernatural Vampire?

Did you spend a lot of time creating new creatures or use the current d20 templates--for instance, a daimantherons(sp?) make it, or did you use Half Fiend Dire descriptors for the you-know-what.

Necropolis as Vacation Spot

Hi John. Come on over to Necromancer Gamesand join the Necroboards for the Necropolis discussion.

Other than that 40 monsters and the same number of castings have been converted to d20, and that Gary was involved, I really have no info on the beast.

Yes

Yes- there does seem to be some sort of a connection, though it was never mentioned in the original book and isn't mentioned in the new one. However, if you remember the mention of the demon lord and demoness (Ghul and Ghol) they did make it into the book, completely statted for 3e.

Gotta keep some things secret. :D

Very little use of the templates (except where it fit perfectly). Basically I converted all the monsters to standard AD&D using the conversion notes in the back of the original Mythus book and then converted them to 3e from there. An extra step? Yes. But it will be worth it. And as Alan said above, there are at least 40+ new monsters in the book. And the 40 new monsters does not include the ones that have a template from the MM applied to them. :D

But- like Alan said as well, c'mon over to the Necro boards and join the Necropolis fun.

Looks like everyone answered the question before I even got here. Good work everyone. And John, please do come to the Necro boards to keep current on all things "Necropolis". There is a whole page of topics just for that product.
