D&D 5E Questions regarding fighting styles and Sharpshooter feat

Sage Advice states that the Archery fighting style applies only to ranged weapons, rather than thrown melee weapons. This means that the Sharpshooter feat also applies only to ranged weapons, right?

The Close-Quarter Shooter fighting style featured in Unearthed Arcana, however, specifies ranged attacks, rather than ranged weapons. Does this mean that it does apply to thrown melee weapons, or is it just badly worded?

Only the third part of Sharpshooter benefit range weapons only, the two first benefit range weapon attacks, which are range attack with a weapon (which can be any, including thrown one)

Close Quarter Shooter works with any ranged attacks, be it with range weapons, thrown weapons or even spells.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. It's the difference between "ranged weapon attack" and "ranged-weapon attack" that's crucial.

Our dwarf fighter is going to be so happy. She loves her throwing axes!;)
