Quick ?: Expertise+Fight Defensively

I know this has been debated many many times, but what was the final verdict? Can you use Expertise and Fight defensively in the same round? Dodge bonuses DO stack.

I think no, but what is the semi-official verdict, if one exists?

Yes, they are allowed together. WotC clarified this I believe in the FAQ.

If you think fight defensively is out there, wait till you see a PC with Experitse (+5), ranks in tumble-fight defensively (+3), Off-hand Parry (+2) adds with buckler (+1), Dodge (+1), Twin-Sword Style (+2)-ack. THATs when it starts getting silly LOL, then there's always Improved Expertise. :D

Don't forget that defending weapon. (My bladesinger has expertise, a +6 defending sword, and 25+ ranks in Tumble - +16 AC - if he wants.)

I think I'll get nice AC for my Rogue/Fighter/Thief-Acrobat/Duelist... Of course it really starts to show at level 17 so I still have long way to go (at level 8 at the moment). TA and Duelist both give nice bonuses for fighting defensively.

Z.

Elaborate Parry is a nice AC bonus for fighting defensively for any duelist. Add the rules from OA for 15 ranks in tumble (+4 instead of +3 from fighting defensively, and you get +11 to +14 to your AC, depending on your duelist level.

Whenever I see a player go the whole mad expertise/fight defensively route, I just laugh and disarm their weapon:) That minus 4-9 just sucks doesn't it.
