Race Elimination Round 4!!!

And we're down to just 16 contestants!

Last round we said good(bye?) riddance to Minotaurs, Githyanki, Deva, Changeling, Goliaths and Gnolls.

In round two we eradicated the Kalashtar, Dragonborn, Duergar, Kenku, Bugbears and Warforged.

And in round one we lost the Bladeling, Drow, Wilden, Shadar-Kai, Revenant, and the worst-liked race of them all: Bullywug!

The game's the same as last round; vote for who you want pushed overboard, and PLEASE POST COMMENTARY ON YOUR VOTE! Maybe you can convince later posters to join your cause .

With fewer races in the game, only the top 5 voted races will removed from the contest!

If we have 16 now, then 5,4,3,2,1 seems fine. (leaving us with 11,7,4,2,1 afterwards)

With the cows gone its time to get rid of hobgoblins IMO.
From an RP standpoint it's hard to get a monster race to fit in with a non-monster race party unless you design the campaign accordingly.
From a mechanic standpoint, they seem gimped compared to other PCs due to lack of race feats and items (only my opinion there).

I see someone voted for Kobolds. . .someone who does not like their eyes, apparently.

I for one would welcome an article with a few monster race feats. I know this will never happen, since it is explicitly stated that the stats are for DM use, and the full player writeup will need to be balanced against other races, but I can wish, right?

Even if they tackle a few at time, like a goblinoid article that has some hobgoblin, bugbear, and goblin feats. Just to give us something fun to play with.

I thought they might keep doing articles like they did for the Minotaur, balancing them against player races and giving them some stuff to play with. Since the Minotaur still has not been included in an official book, only the magazine, it is not like they did this to prep for full blown release (?!?!?) like they did with the Warforged.

Githzerai. Just nothing special about them, no easy way to explain why one is here, nothing on this plane to interest them. Mechanically unnecessary and no flavor or resonance for me.
