Races of Eberron, Warforged, and Armor

Looking at the Warforged sections in Races of Eberron, I found some curious statements. The book was suggesting that monks and barbarians could take Adamantine Body and still benefit from their class features. However, the text of the feat says that you count as wearing heavy armor. Is the book on crack for reccomending that monks take armored body feats when it will shut down all their abilities, or is this a valid build?

Technically, it is a valid build.

However, Warforged Monks with Adamantine/Ironwood/Mithral body would not get their Wisdom bonus to AC, Fast Movement, and Flurry of Blows abilities.

Likewise, Warforged Barbarians with Adamantine body would not get the Fast Movement abilities.

In the same vein, you could have a Warforged Druid with Adamantine or Mithral Body, however, they could not get any of the druid class abilities.

So, while yes, you could do it, it kinda stops the class from gaining full benefit (though I like the idea of an Adamantine Warforged Monk with a Battlefist) And I can see the RP potential of a Warforged Barbarian with Adamantine Body... sure, it would move 20ft, but you'd still gain the Rage and any other class abilities that are not hindered by armour worn

The book, no. The writers, yes.

Of course, they may be staring expectantly at the mythical figure of the Sympathetic DM. (Much like Bigfoot, this hypothetical entity has never been photographed. Most doubt its existence.)
