Hi! I am new to dnd and i have some questions.
1) how dual blade ranger's damage is calculated. for example if i have one 1d8 main hand and one 1d6 off hand this means that 1[W]= 1d8+1d6?
and what aboutattack roll? i roll for every weapon seperately?

2)for walock if i have a feat that + to fire damage does this affect the 1d6 extra damage from the curse (i believe that it will be fire too if the spell i did was fire based)? a little explanation with an example for whether i can apply the damage from curse it will be helpful.
Thx a lot...

1) Depends on the weapon that's dealing the damage. In this case, a 1[W] main-hand attack will deal 1d8, a 1[W] off-hand attack 1d6

2) You only apply bonus damage once.

1[w] always means the damage die (or dice) from a single weapon. If you dual wield, you can get extra damage in a few ways:

1/ Be a Ranger and take attack powers which allow you to attack with each weapon;
2/ Take the Two Weapon Fighting feat and get a +1 damage bonus with your primary weapon.

Curse damage seems to be added directly to the damage you roll, so you don't get to add Astral Fire twice.

Rangers attack with one weapon at a time, just like everybody else. The difference is that rangers have many powers that let them make two attacks, one with each weapon. You do not add the weapon damages together. Using Twin Strike as an example, the ranger makes two attack rolls--one with his 1d8 weapon and one with his 1d6 weapon.

2)for walock if i have a feat that + to fire damage does this affect the 1d6 extra damage from the curse (i believe that it will be fire too if the spell i did was fire based)? a little explanation with an example for whether i can apply the damage from curse it will be helpful.

You would add the extra fire damage to the attack itself, along with the Warlock's Curse damage. You don't add the fire damage to the attack and to the warlock's curse, it's all one source of damage.

Then what's the meaning of having a dual blade ranger who makes 2 attacks one 1d8 and 1d6 with his powers when on the other hand with a long bow he can do 2d10 (two-fanged-strike example).

The real question is why is your dual blade ranger wielding a 1d8 weapon and a 1d6 weapon and not a pair of bastard swords if pure damage output is all you're looking at?
