Real or just another scam!?!

About chain letters, I've received a few that say "If you forward this to 10 people, a little movie/animation will start". I've never forwarded stuff like this (because it's probably not true anyway) but can anyone confirm the it's just a stupid way to move junk emails around?

how would the e-mail know if you forwarded it 10 times or not? I mean really how big is the e-mail? and if it's got a video attached to it then why would you need to forward it ten times to look at the attachment? I'm no internet expert but I'd bet it's real hard to track an e-mail and they sure can't track themselves.

because it is in print it must be true!

I can't tell you how many times I have seen this and other 'chain e-mails'. that and the bogus virus warnings. There are enough viruses around without faux warnings. I am an IT Mgr for a large international company and I find it amazing how many of my users (who you would normally count as reasonably intelligent folks) check their brains at the door when it comes to this kind of stuff.

Reminds me of the classic tech support joke that ends with... "you are too stupid to use a computer"
