Well, my title is "Senior Software Engineer" and I build database applications. Been doing it for about six years now.

Funny thing is that my degree is in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy (and one class shy of a minor in History -- wish I would have known before my last semester). Before going into PoliSci, I studied Chemical Engineering for a year and a half. Going from Engineering to LAS, I need to clarify that I didn't fail out (my GPA was actually higher as an Engineer), I just decided that it was a poor fit.

So, I guess I'm somewhat multiclassed, too.

In my previous life I was a lead technician/site-manager for a regional computer service company. I left that position to get a computer science degree which I will have in December. I think I'm then going to either teach or get a nursing degree because there are no jobs in my field in the area anymore.

Right now I'm a full-time Dad/full-time student.

Right now I'm a full time moper... I feel sorry for myself. :p

Actually, I finished up my undergrad life with a BS in Biochemistry. I was hoping to be able to find work for a year or two and make sure I really wanted to persue a career related to the field, but I'm finding that difficult where I am right now. In fact, I'm finding it difficult to find any sort of decent job where I am. I do plan on going to grad school (probably starting in Fall 2005) for Biochemistry or Molecular Biology, hopefully with a focus in virology. From there, I would like to do research, though I'm open to other options.

Previous Employment: Managing a one-hour (ha ha, right) photo lab. I got plenty of stories.

Current Employment: I am the title-holder for "Longest-Running Temp Gig". I work for a major bank doing scanning work and a bit of database management. I'm the only temp who has a temp working under him.

Secret Identity: Writer. Just waiting for my book deal...any day now...

Dream Job: Writer for a comedy show, particularly Conan O'Brien. He pokes so much fun at gamers, I gotta represent y'know?

For the past ten years I have been a Quality/Reliablity Engineer (plus a squeak and rattle engineer) for Tier 1 manufacturers and two of the Big Three. (Never directly worked for Ford)
NOW: Full time student - working on becoming a High School math/science teacher. Much less stress working with kids...

Oh, I used to do that in Phoenix, though it was in the other direction.
Really? Specifically game translation or just general software localization from English to Japanese? Freelance or with a company?

Litigation specialist for a major insurance company handling coverage, bodily injury, property damage, environmental litigation and municipal litigation. (And a lot more, but those are the highlights.) But I am not a lawyer.

I had friends in high school who made sport of destroying student teachers. Oh, "friends", who am I trying to kid? I did all the destroying.
