Really Old Question about Grappling

First Post
I really need some help regarding to topic above.

1. First of all, under grappling options for 'attack your opponent' do you need to make an oppose grapple check to attempt this?

2. What does weapon focus and weapon specialization grapple do during grappling?
- My opinion for weapon focus grapple is to add +1 to all grapple checks.
- I am stumped for weapon specialization grapple....

Any help regarding this 2 questions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

No. You make a single attack with an unarmed strike, light weapon, or natural weapon at a -4 penalty. If you have a high BAB, you may make additional, iterative attacks with unarmed strikes and other light weapons.

Weapon Focus grants +1 on the attack roll to initiate a grapple (though many will also give him +1 on opposed grapple checks) and weapon specialization +2 on damage when using the "Damage Your Opponent" option. I would not add these bonuses on the "attack your opponent" option.

If a game removes / does not have the Improved grapple feat, I'd agree.
