Honest Question: "How do you fit it all on a 3x5 card....and still keep it convenient and large enough to read?"

.....and, as long as I'm just quizzing I2K: "How'd you get your post-count above mine? :) Doesn't seniority count for anything these days?" ;)

Spoiler:
Nope

Exactly what are you arguing because you seem to be agreeing with me and arguing with me at the same time? I think you may be quoting me, but responding to someone else. ;)
I said that initiative totals are meaningless once rolled; all that matters is the sequence.

They are certainly not meaningless. Do you never have new monsters show up?
That sounds like a disagreement to me. I'm just defending my assertion, and pointing out that you don't need to save the rolled totals even if there will be new arrivals.

That is disagreement. :) Just because you streamline things by prerolling them and don't allow unforeseen circumstances to develop doesn't mean that it's not the rule that new monsters roll initiative. Did you read the post by Hyp that confirms that they must roll? Again, I applaud you on your efficiency, but not everyone does that and what it does is force you to account for every conceivable circumstance.

For example, in a high level game, the party wizard decides to greater teleport to a temple in search of an emergy scroll of heal needed for that fight. When he gets there, he needs help from the high priest. If you didn't plan for this, then the high priest does not have initiative. Yet, he'll need it. Sure, you can handwave it away, but the point stands.

Uhm.....is said priest actually in combat? Who's he fighting?

It's not 3x5. If you don't mind RttToEE spoilers I can send you a bunch of examples. The key is that I print to cardstock (8.5x11 paper) and cut out the stat blocks.

I post like a demon at 19 per day. You post slow at 3 per day. I was bound to catch up. ;)

I'm always willing to steal from others. :) Send the most complicated one you've got to fredochs {an at symbol} yahoo {a silly period symbol} com. I'd love to see how I can improve my own combat sheets. (I currently use a home-brewed form.)
