Can't be that common, because it's only for systems made back in 2003 and earlier and I've never heard of the problem before. Not that that stopped me from ordering one.

In any case, the turnaround seems pretty quick; I ordered mine on the first day, and my new cord was in the mail today.

I got mine yesterday. Has a mini circuit breaker in it, which is kinda neat.
