We will be embracing it wholeheartedly.
We've been adapting some of the 3.5 rules as they became public knowledge, for example, the Haste change. (Haste enchantments had already been house-ruled.)
We'll also be using it as an opportunity to reallocate our characters using point-buy, clean up some of the multiclassing and PrC's we've gotten into, pool and redistribute funds and rebuy equipment.
Overall this makes our PCs and DMs equally happy.
My monk (new to a long-running campaign that's had better than average loot) will have more money for gear, better attacks due to the UBAB/flurry change, and will effectively get a free feat due to the increased flexibility.
My elven, two war fan wielding fighter will have somewhat lower stats overall due to point-buy, but is dropping out of a custom Charisma-based prestige class so that'll be fine. I'm also dropping out of Tempest and enjoying HUGE economies on feats -- swapping out 6 feats no longer needed for PrC requirements, 1 rendered ineffective (Power Attack) and 1 obsolete (Ambidexterity) and perhaps Finesse too. Or I may decide to go with a quarterstaff, or a shield-bashing type. At any rate, I'll have a far better fighter in 3.5 than I do now.
