The guy who runs the site claims to be Lucas' buddy. I find it more likely he's just some lowly insider.
Apparently the whole seeds-of-the-Rebellion scenes were cut. As were Sidious' dropping hints that certain female Senators are close to certain other members of the Jedi council and an additional Obi-Wan/Padme scene. Which makes Anikin's suspicion that she might be a traitor and unfaithful a little more believeable. But hey, who needs character motivation when we can have more lightsaber fights?
On a more positive note. A Jar-Jar bit got dropped.
