'Hmm. Good job, nameless one. That is, the most recent poster. Stage, it is.

Even though the rest were some of the most imaginative answers I've seen, I do have a rather soft spot for the theatre.

'When I looked upon the flames of his passion,
And the coolness of her touch,
I knew tragedy could only come from their union.
And indeed, when they came together,
Darkness reigned upon the land.
And although they were soon separated,
Learning as they did that they were not for each other,
Still, their passing regards for each other,
Left it's impression upon all who had witnessed it.
And would be talked about for ages still to come.'

-Gene'

Being in a rather cheerful mood, uncharacteristcally, at that, Gene dissapears...but only towards the bar, staying to the shadows. He still had some unfinished business with a glass of mead.

"Alright you guys try these three!"

This thing all things devours:
Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;
Gnaws Iron, bites steel;
Grinds hard stones to meal;
Slays king, ruins town,
And beats high mountain down.

Voiceless it cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.

A box without hinges, key, or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid!

"Good luck and have fun! Except for you elves...I expect these are far beyond your mental capabilities!" :uh-huh:

Robert chuckles.

"To the first of your three, my friend, I'll guess, Time! All things fall with time, from mountains to great kings."

Some more riddles for you all to break your minds upon, and remember, no cheating!!

What is bigger when new and grows smaller with use?

Sometimes it glitters, but often not;
May be cold, or may be hot.
Ever changing though the eye can't measure,
Concealed within may be many treasures.
Some find safety beneath its gate,
While some may die beneath its weight!
Old and broken, it brings forth life.

I got it in a forest but didn't want it.
Once I had it, I couldn't see it.
The more I searched for it, the less I liked it.
I took it home in my hand because I could not find it.
What was it?

They have not flesh nor feathers, nor scales nor bone;
but they do have fingers and thumbs of their own.

To Bhryns's first riddle: a bar of soap

To the second, I know it's wrong but the last lines fit it too well: a vow of chastity :smirk:

The third's too hard, I'll leave it to another.

The fourth's too easy, I'll do the same in fairness.
