Some riddles worth considering if you have the time, some are simply freeform some are cryptic rhyme.

One thin, one bold,
One sick, one cold,
The earth we span
To prey upon man

What are we?

If a man would carry my burden-
He would break his back
I am not rich
But leave silver in my track

What am I?

My life may be measured in hours
I serve by being devoured
Thin-I am quick
Fat-I am slow
Wind is my foe

What am I?

To those within the dungeon I am joy.
To those fully beneath my gaze,I can be Hell.

What am I?

Once these are all answered , every one of four. I shall unclock for riddles from the eternal door.

If a man would carry my burden-
He would break his back
I am not rich
But leave silver in my track

~ A snail??

*Stares at the post, bewildered, then grins*

HA! Thats right! You just keep wearing white so they loook white..Ha! Jea is still cooking! Damn.... I just negated my own riddle. Ah well, the answer can be an albino Sphinx. Right.

Flicker. The press of impaled stained parchment to the cork, and then another flicker.

One thin, one bold,
One sick, one cold,
The earth we span
To prey upon man

What are we?

The four horsemen of the apocolypse, of course.

In the Umbral...a simple snicker could be heard.

I fascinate myself far too much with the profane.

Robert the Olidamarite, a hulking, light hearted, half ogre passes by, and hears mention of riddles... for gold no less!

"Ah! Riddles, I do so enjoy a good one!"

Upon hearing obsidians third riddle, he puzzles for an answer.

"I serve by being devoured, thin I am quick, fat I am slow... what am I? Hmm..."

"What has a life measured in hours? I'll take.... water? Yes. my answer is water."

"And to answer your last riddle, the sun. In a dungeon, it'd be a blessing to catch so much as glimpse of the sun. But, on the surface, when the suns it's hottest and at it's apex, it can be truly a hell."

To these -

My life may be measured in hours
I serve by being devoured
Thin-I am quick
Fat-I am slow
Wind is my foe

What am I?

To those within the dungeon I am joy.
To those fully beneath my gaze,I can be Hell.

What am I?

The following answers.

Candle
Light

One thin, one bold,
One sick, one cold,
The earth we span
To prey upon man

Aye the horseman of the apocolypse is right.

My life may be measured in hours
I serve by being devoured
Thin-I am quick
Fat-I am slow
Wind is my foe

The candle was the proper response.

To those within the dungeon I am joy.
To those fully beneath my gaze,I can be Hell.

The sun was correct , though light might work in a pinch.

((I propose we number the riddles from now on so we dont have to repost them continously...if such a standard is accepted then "To those within the dungeon I am joy.
To those fully beneath my gaze,I can be Hell."
was 14))

Robert chuckles. "A candle! I should've guessed as much! Well, here's my riddle.

((15)) A woman has seven children. Half the children are boys. How is this possible?"
