Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

[sblock=OOC]
Writhing tendrils spring from the ground at his every step, and when he halts they begin to entangle the dragon's claws.

Darnit, I was being so careful with the "he" and the "it", and then I missed this one.

Now - what just happened? The dragon was at R12, I was at S11, right? So how did it get past me? Oh, harpy, right. Dammit.

Well, you said "moved" and not "shifted", so at least I get an OA before I become Dazed, right?
[/sblock]

Ironheart tumbles towards the harpy like a tree blowing in the wind. It is able to stop the movement only by digging its roots deep into the earth. Its bellow of defiance turns to a hacking cough as it is surrounded by the dragon's miss. When it gets its voice back it turns to the great beast and hacks at it over and over, screaming.

"KILL YOU! KILL YOU! HACK YOU! RIP YOUR SCALES AND EAT YOUR LIVER! CRACK YOUR TEETH! SHRED YOUR WINGS! TEAR OUT YOUR CLAWS AND GOUGE YOUR BRAIN! I - WILL - MAKE - YOU - SUFFER!"

Half of its strokes miss and strike the ground, but where each lands a wickedly spiked thorn grows, swiftly piercing its host (either the earth or the dragon's very flesh) until the beast crouches in the midst of a patch of iron brambles.

OA on dragon: OA on Dragon (1d20+9=26, 1d10+10=16) Hits AC 26 for 16 damage (AC 27 if Rock counts as an ally for Thicket Defense). If I hit, it is slowed until the end of its turn due to Sudden Roots and I regain 5 hp.

Standard: Earth Spikes on Dragon: Earth Spikes on dragon (1d20+9=20, 1d10+10=13) Hits AC 20 - probably wasted, but if not, does 13 damage and until end of my next turn target's space and each adjacent square are filled with spikes that do 5 damage to any enemy that enters the area or starts its turn there, and I regain another 5 hp

Free: Mark the dragon with Nature's Wrath (I looked it up, I can do free actions while dazed)

Rhole marvels at the sight of a halberd-wielding bloodthirsty tree rampaging at a roaring dragon, with duelling bands in the background. In his mind, this image becomes depicted on posters to advertise a future concert.

The gnome does maintain enough concentration to pitch his song in another mighty wail, but the simultaneous bellow of a dragon and screeching of a harpy does little to help his focus. Meanwhile, out of sight and unbeknownst to everyone else, his tiny partner is doing its own mischief.

Ikni tries to pull herself together.

The harpy moves next to Haruka, whispering "You look like you wanted to see me" before unleashing another terrible blast that Haruka withstands, but Ikni, Derien and Rhole feel in their bones and leaves them shaken. Ironheart is in the blood rage and it washes off him like water off a duck.

The fey panther reappears, it's massive black form slams into Ironheart and knocks the great warden prone, as it slashes twice with its hind legs before bouncing off.

The dragon sinks its teeth into Ironheart, clamps down and, with great effort, throws the wood woad sliding along the ground, coming to a stop at Derien's feet.

[sblock=ooc]
Harpy moves to current spot - (having finally recharged) and unleashes a Deadly Shriek - vs fort (haruka, derien, ikni, Rhole, ironheart); thunder damage (1d20 9=10, 1d20 9=28, 1d20 9=25, 1d20 9=17, 1d20 9=16, 1d6 2=6) Misses Haruka & Ironheart, hits others (Ikni only takes 1) and are dazed (save ends).

Panther - charges Ironheart - charge (1d20 10=27, 2d6 4=14) hits for 14 and you're prone

Dragon - bites Ironheart - vs ac dmg (1d20 12=20, 2d6-2=5) hits for 5, slides to current spot, then shifts closer to Rhole

Those in the water, please make an Athletics DC 18 roll on your turn, else you are pushed 3 squares to the west.

Ikni, unable to move, weaves her arcane shield on the dragon, hoping at least to protect her allies if she can't serve any more useful role in the fight. The action steadies her, the familiar magics eroding the magical shackles on both her legs and her wits.

[sblock=actions]Mark dragon with aegis of shielding. Now let's just hope I save against dazed so my mark does some good.

Saves: success against both immobilized and dazed. Still prone, but at least I can use my aegis.

Let's get that £$%£$ harpy down!

[sblock=Last Round]Given that taran didn’t choose where to slide with the previous Virtue of Cunning before this update, would it be alright to place him in T18? (I’m sure he’d prefer more distance to the dragon)[/sblock]
Rhole’s music reaches levels that create minor turbulence in the area, twirling Haruka one way and the harpy another.

“Sweet merciful muses spare my ears and sanity! How am I to spin tasty masterpieces with a tone-deaf bird screeching at one end and an overgrown winged lizard yapping at the other?”

The Great Ultra-Intense Thundering Audio Ripper unleashes a wail so powerful that even Rhole himself is blasted back, putting some distance between himself and the dragon with renewed vigor to win this battle of the bands.

[sblock=Actions]
Harpy’s turn: Slide Haruka to S18 via Virtue of Cunning, and the harpy to R17 via Advantage of Cunning.
Minor: Majestic Word heals Rhole a surge +5 and slides him to T16.
End of Turn:Rhole saves vs dazed and yet again fails vs immobilization.

I pulled the harpy in range of Ikni, but I should also point out that this is a perfect opportunity to push the harpy into the water (if anyone has powers to that effect).
