Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

Nevermind that. She's nothing like the genasi I know. They would have demanded his head for such an affront.

[sblock=question]Ok, something I forgot to mention before is that anyone with teleportation (like the dancer) can simply teleport out of most restraints. Do I have to make an Arcana roll so that Haruka also knows this, and that the way to stop it is to block the dancer's line of sight? If so, here it is: 28. Wait, 28? Seriously IC, this is what you give me a 20 on? You son of a....well, I'm blindfolding that gnome. Also, we should break any of their gear we're not taking, especially the arrows.[/sblock]

ooc: Yeah, having a Eladrin Assault Swordmage in the campaign I DMed taught me a lot about what you can and can't do with teleporting.

"Wait, there is something I'd like to do to make sure they don't stab us in the back after we leave. If there is any of their possessions you would like to take, please do so now."

Haruka cuts a long strip of fabric off the dancer's outfit and wraps it around his head several times, blinding the gnome. She then pulls out some ink and paper and starts writing a note.

"I'll simply explain to them that we didn't need to spare their lives, but we did so anyway. If they follow us, they shouldn't expect the same treatment. I'm also going to note that there were certainly other, less humane, ways of preventing their leader from teleporting out of his bonds. He should be grateful I ruined his suit instead of his eyes."

Having finished the note, she takes one of the arrows, breaks it in half, and uses the business end to pin the note to the tree. Then she turns to the pile of the fey's equipment.

"They'll probably slip out before too long, and they might not be smart enough to leave us alone, especially if those drakes were the leader's pets. But this should buy us some time nonetheless."

At that Haruka extends her hands towards the gear. Dozens of crackling eldritch cords erupt from her hands, breaking wood and warping metal. Before long the armaments are reduced to wreckage.

"There," she states, clearly satisfied with herself, "now I'm ready to go."

[sblock=OOC]If we lost not one, but BOTH of our leaders, I'm going to be mighty pissed.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC*EDIT]Also, after doing some math and cashing in my DM credits from Echos of O, I should be just about level 2. I'll wait until PHB2 passes to level, though, since I plan to multiclass to Invoker.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]If we lost not one, but BOTH of our leaders, you better multiclass to someone that can heal. You too, cov. I'm sure the Closed Eye has given you enough. Besides, you can just train out of that feat later. :p

Seriously though, we could be in a tight spot. There is a cleric in the tavern (in fact, I think he's the only one left there), but he's apparently holding out for the next adventure from none other than our own Don Incognito. However, I wouldn't worry about things yet. Soon, but not yet.

Out of curiosity Don, what are you looking for from the Invoker?[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Invoker? Curious, but interesting.
Anyway, guys, what do you think? Either participation is very very slow, or the group is getting thinner. Do you three want me to advance things and see if the others show up, wait a bit, or something else? In the case that the party loses members I'm open to suggestion for fast recruitment, or something similar. Let m hear what you think.
In any case I'll be sure to make initiative more flexible in combat (as in, first post, first act; monsters' and pcs' initiative averages out, etc. Also, since it's a method I've seen used in various games here, do you recommend me the +1 bonus if you post within 24h? Does it work in your experience?[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Gah, um, I dunno. I mean, if they, and in particular taran, aren't coming back, we could be in a heap of trouble. On the other hand, I'd hate to jump the gun just because they had a busy week and couldn't post until the weekend.

I have no idea as to how effective the +1 for timely posts is, as this is my first pbp game.[/sblock]

Feeling badly about having let Romulin get away, Derien contributes little to the post-battle planning session. Finally: "We can't call on Arnamil without Romulin, and we don't have Romulin. We need to visit the Lady of Nightmares, but...perhaps not tonight.

[sblock=ooc]I'm here, I'm here. Though given how I rolled in that last battle, I'm not sure how excited you should feel.[/sblock]
