Bayne watches as the thorn comes at him and then at the last second does a Matrix move and dodges out of the way by ducking underneath it.

The leaps up and tries to strike Rini in the jaw with a roundhouse kick.

The staff spins underneath the foothills; dominates the edge of the bird!

Rini's move makes more sense...thorns could bash...and if they manage to get lucky and bash with their pointy end it hurts...staffs don't spin well when there is land all around them..

Bayne unsheaths his sword. Then takes a wide swing high in the air. In hopes to leave a massive gash across the face of Rini.

The toad slashes higher than the coast; sinuously scatters the gaze of the snow!

From what I see, the reason the toad slashed high was because Rini and her dagger moved.
