ROTK Extended Edition: Untagged Spoilers/Scenes added!

I saw some brief bits of the extended scenes at this years Comic Con International in San Diego, and they looked good...but I actually tried to not watch them too much, as I would prefer to see them all at once.

The extended edition statue was also there...it's a replica of Gondor that looks pretty nice.

The new game (battle for middle earth) looks really great. And I am not a huge video game fan, so that's saying a lot that I thought it looked so good.

This makes me so glad I didn't watch the theatrical teaser. It didn't even have Merry pledging his loyalty to Theoden? WTF?
It works fine in the flow of the film without him pledging to Theoden. That's really what it came down to...not an essential scene(compared to others, at least), and RotK was packed already.

I downloaded a bootleg of RotK EE trailer from comic con, all I have to say is OMG OMG OMG its going to rock.

Mind if I ask where you can download the extended LOTR trailer?

-Edit: No bootlegs at EN World, thank you. --Dinkeldog

Just remember, its a bootleg, it was taped with a camcorder from a bag or something. You can hear the crowd cheer at points, but the footage you see is amazing.

I'm just glad I haven't seen the theatrical cut. I learned my lesson with the Two Towers.

Heheh, good point. Still, though, you may have learned the wrong lesson. RotK was absolutly amazing, and I can't begin to imagine how the Extended will be. Seeing the theatrical first is fun just to watch the Extended and get really excited when you see something new.

We can also guess the scene with Galdalf and the Witch King will also shoe Gandalf's staff getting destroyed, since it's around this time it disappears from the theatrical release without anyone seeming to notice.:)

Too true, Black Omega! I just came to realize that's why Gandalf had to take a spear-thingie from one of the guards at Faramir's pyre!

"I will break him!", indeed! :)
