Round 14 Is Over

Pick ONE FEAT to be eliminated!

Spell Penetration -- you are the weakest link! Begone!

I have seen every feat on this list used, except Spell Penetration.

I can't see why all the melee/martial feats should go when they are all used very extensively.

I am pretty sure that my party has no idea that SP exists nor when exactly it would need to be used.

If you get rid of Power Attack, there goes what 4 more feats due to dependencies. What would you do then?

The arguement that if you stand in front of the archer you deserve to get shot is complete BS. Precise Shot exists to allow the archer the option of shooting into combat without injury to friends. Not everyone who takes Precise Shot is a combantant, it can be used quite well by a Wizard or Sorceror, once they've run out of useful spells. Or by a rogue that is shooting from a hidden location, so they could benefit from their Sneak Attack damage without showing themselves to the enemy (snipping).

So Spell Penetration must go.

I see advantages to weapon finesse. My characters always loves thier Bows so I can't see getting rid of any of the ones that effect my characters archery skills. Improved initiative has it's advantages so I would have to say, bye-bye Power Attack

Wow, that is the exact thoughts I had as to why to eliminate power attack. I have never had anyone use it anyways, mostly because my players are new and having to change their weapons bonus to hit and damage when using power attack would use about 5 minutes of our time every time they did it (yeah, my players are a little slow).

Really? Apart from using spells like Assay Resistance instead, Spell Penetration is as close to a must-have feat for any serious mage as it gets. :)

Bye

Spell Penetration is a very nice feat to have at higher levels, which is where it should be taken. There are very few ways to make your character be able to better punch through resistances. Yes, yes, there are SR: None spells. But that's limiting yourself if you restrict yourself only to those spells, and for a wizard, limiting yourself can be a very bad thing indeed.

And yet, I voted for it to be removed. Why? Because Power Attack doesn't deserve to go before it. Power Attack is just a better feat. Spell Penetration is a GOOD feat, but Power Attack is better. And what with things being neck and neck between the two right now, I have to try and vote Spell Penetration off the island. I'd rather have voted TWF, to be honest, but I'm thinking tactically here.

Also went for the spell penetration. Considering that Greater SP exists, this is not a feat for a high level caster. Also, while I can see the point about not limiting yourself, there are just far too many spells out there that get around SR. Pretty much every conjuration spell ignores SR. Given that you don't meet creatures with SR every encounter (usually), this is a feat that is only of limited use anyway.

I can't believe it lasted this long anyway. Why take a feat that is only used once in a while and can be safely ignored by simply choosing different spells? Don't you want to be able to use the feats you take as often as you possibly can?

I also can't believe people want Power Attack out. It's just far too useful to pretty much every class out there. Sure, you take a hit to your to hit, but, with charging or flanking, you can offset that penalty easily.

Hrm, the choices are a feat that is only useful to a couple of classes in a couple of situations that may or may not come up in any given scenario vs a feat that is useful to almost every class at any level and can be used in almost every forseeable scenario.

No-brainer to me.

I wish power attack would die but I voted for Spell Penetration. Spell resistance is just too inconsistent to specialize in its defeat with a feat.

As a defensive vote, I'm taking out Spell Penetration. It's a good feat for spellcasters, but useless for everyone else. So you have to go.
