After the victory Talbin picks up a bunch of stone to use for hsi sling since he is clean out of sling bullets.
"That was sure a big battle folks! we really showed them!"

When Tharok surrenders, Rasereit looks as though he hasn't heard a word of the half-orc's pleas. His waraxe raised, he is ready to deliver the final blow after Eusebius kicks him into unconsciousness.

But just then, exhaustion overwhelms Rasereit, and he falls to his knees instead, panting, staring straight ahead, aware that Tharok really is no threat now.

As he gets his breath back, he mutters, "Back an' forth, runnin' all over the place. Mange an' fleas, Ah'm a dwarf, not a dog..."

By evening the group has reached Braeholl. The town is surrounded by a largely intact system of wooden palasades, trenches, stone walls, and earthen embackments. It shows some signs of damage and the party sees dozens of unburied corpses or men and orcs as it approaches. There is no sign of a seige or current combat.

A guard in a tower calls down as the group reaches the gate. Hugh informs him that they are largely from the Hill fort to the West & that the heros in the group have slain many orcs and even captured a leader.

The gates are opened, and the party leads the wagons inside. Most of the villagers then separate, heading for shelters, or the houses of friends or relatives. Hugh stays with the adventurers. They are offered a food, and an officer approaches them. "I'm captain Carter." says the middle aged human. He seems a bit out of shape, and is missing several fingers, but seems competent, and slightly suspicious. "Tell me what's going on out there."

ooc: As Beamer pointed out, this particular spell has the (D) notation next to the duration, which means it is dismissable. So perhaps not as a general rule, but in this case yes.

Beamer stays small and in the back so as not to draw any extra attention to himself. He hangs around near Tharok to make sure he does not escape and that he releases Banion from his spell.
