This still doesn't solve the issue of creatures that have a huge ECL because of their magical abilities, rather than strength or size. Such creatures will still have far too few hit points to be playable.

I'm not sure about this advancement concept. It's handy for character balance, that's sure, but it doesn't really make sense. Since when do creatures grow in size with experience?

Believe me - they could do an entire book just on Dragons. As it is, it seems like they've given you lots of advice, so some fan-created progressions shouldn't be far away.

It looks to me that you can either play monsters as races or classes. That sounds really cool.
