Save against none "save ends" effects

So,

I've started playing a paladin PC. There's one power : Channel Divinity : Divine Mettle who grants the target a saving throw.

My question is : can someone affected with an affect that is not "save ends" (like an effect that ends at the start of the ennemi's next turn) make nonetheless a save against the effect with this power or it can only provide a save against "save ends" effects?

Well, if the power doesn't have 'save ends' on it, then making a saving throw wouldn't satisfy the duration of the power. So even if the throw -itself- were allowed, the effect itself doesn't care because it's not ended by a saving throw but by some other event. q.v.: Conditional Durations.
