Say a little prayer...

My 11 year old son, Connor, had to have his appendix removed Saturday. The doctor told us we got him in just in time, because it nearly ruptured before he removed it. By and large, he's doing ok, though he has a fever that won't go away. The doctor says it's likely he's developed a secondary infection, and if that's the case they'll have to go back in and try to fix that. He was supposed to get to go home today, but now we're not sure when he'll get to leave hospital.

I know many of you have kids so you know how even the slightest cough can send a parent into fits, so I ask that all who read this take a moment to send a prayer, good vibe, or happy thought our way.

Thanks.

Prayers, happy thoughts and good vibes all directed at you, Connor and your whole family. Your kid being sick is tough enough, when they have surgery it is one of the hardest things for a parent.

Best wishes, and stay positive.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My two year old son Connor had to have surgery about three months ago for an undescended testicle. I was a total basket case. He came through it fine, though there were some scary moments when he was having trouble coming out from under the sedation.

I understand that twisting feeling in your stomach, and I wish you all the luck.

That's terrible. I'm sorry to hear the little guy is having trouble. Hope he has a quick and complete recovery.

Your family will be in my thoughts and heart. I know how tough it can be to have an ill child.

Hang in there, he'll pull through and be back to his normal self faster than you would believe possible.
