Scheduling for the IRON DM 2017 Tournament

Great initiative! Do you have a timetable?

Once we have a full roster of 8 contestants, we will start round 1. From that point, the tournament should take about 2-3 weeks to complete, depending on scheduling availability. There are only three matches during Rounds 2 and 3, but they are each twice as long as the four Round 1 matches. And, of course, there will also be time between matches as judgements are deliberated.

If you are interested in participating as a contestant, go ahead and peruse the rules for the tournament that are in the OP and sign up as a contestant or alternate.

Maybe post on the RPG subReddit? I got one or two from there last time.

I don't have a presence in that community, so it would just be spam if I did something like that, but anyone else who does have an established presence elsewhere is certainly welcome to give it a go. At this point, we still have three slots to fill and it would be good to get a few alternates, as well.

Maybe Morrus will allow you to put an announcement on the front page. Most people like me go from the first page to the play-by-post forums and could miss it.

I can commit to be an alternate. My schedule is iffy over the next month, so, I cannot commit as a full contestant.

Looks like we've got mostly seasoned veterans competing this time around. Perhaps some new folk would like to give it a try?

As any of the past competitors could tell you, it is a transformative experience; competing in an IRON DM Tournament will change you as an adventure writer.

That's the GM and player recruitment thread. I think you could justify posting there since you are trying to recruit DMs, and this will improve their skills.
