[SciFi to DnD Coversion/Perry Rhodan] The Bridge to Eternity - and more!

 Did I make an error in the paragraph? Otherwise I cannot imagine what is so funny about it?

Not funny as such - just the sense of drama inferred with "...should the unlikely happen and their daggers do not deliver the killing blow..."

Excellent!

It reminded me of old Flash Gordon serials where they would always leave the episode on a 'cliffhanger' where death (for the hero) seemed inevitable.

As always, I'm late with the overviews, but here they are:

Iron Leviathanim

The Creatures of Quintatha call these creatures titans, but since this term already has a few meanings in the d20 community, I decided to use a more descriptive name for these creatures.
On average, they are 335 feet long and have a multicolored, shining hide (each Leviathan has a unique hide). They live as solitary predators in the ocean of blood and rust of Quintatha, where the gravity may shift from one mile to the next in unexpected ways. This, and their enormous strength make the Leviathanim dangerous foes for the Barkners, who hunt them for their bones (which provide the raw material for their daggers, and are psionically active), blood and "flesh" (which is actually iron). The only possibility for the Barkners to kill the titans is to rupture their air-bladders, upon which they rise to the surface and begin their day-long death-struggle. The Creatures of Quintatha assault the Leviathan when he surfaces to weaken him enough that he can be transported to Hellmock, the only town of Quintatha - a collection of many ships bound together.
As a (very) quick and (very) dirty conversion, it may be appropriate to take the stats of a cachalot whale, advance him to his maximum HD, and add the axiomatic template (It isn't really accurate, but it is a start).

Rishtyn-Jaffami
(The following overview for Rishtyn-Jaffami is written from the viewpoint of the Perry-Rhodan universe (as usual), but I might later add an overview fitting for the D&D universe)

Rishtyn-Jaffami is the last survivor of a climactic battle that took place above a planet with powerful, 5-dimensional radiation. The Jaffami, who crash-landed on the planet, slowly mutated, with his cells multiplying beyond control, but without dying. He also developed powerful mental abilities, at the price of his mobility. After thousands of years, Rishtyn-Jaffami created Quintatha with all its inhabitants. At that time, he was physically nothing more than a titanic grey blob, so he created a second body within Quintatha - that of a grey titan of a few miles length. In both forms, he could split the pigments of his skin into black and white, creating a strange pattern, which caused people who look at it to see their own faces. In Quintatha, he was also named the Great Grey One.
Later, Rishtyn-Jaffami was enslaved by a humanoid race called the E'Valentans, who came with so many forces that Rishtyn-Jaffami couldn't defeat them all. They forced him to pay tribute in form of Creatures of Quintatha and Quintatha daggers.
In Quintatha, Rishtyn-Jaffami was greatly feared, and on rare occasions even hunted. He lived within a bubble of air within the ocean of Quintatha, isolated from the main ocean with Hellmock. In 160000 years, no Barkner was able to hurt him - except for Shirka, the Avenger, who managed to rupture his air-bladder and cause the slow death of Rishtyn-Jaffami on both worlds.

Thats okay! :)

I had hoped Geron Raveneye (a fellow countryman of yours and fan of Perry Rhodan no less!) would post herein. Perhaps hes still reading over things!?

Any pictures of them! I love all the illustrations so far! :)

Quintatha would make a great layer of the Abyss.

Who/What are the Barkners?

Great idea for a town! I wonder was that 'ripped off' in the film 'Waterworld'?

There is also a monster in the Creature Collection 2 called Kadums Leviathan that may share a lot of similarities.

Is that why the Creatures of Quintatha have those funny heads?

I've seen the thread where he posted (the "blast from the past" ;) ), but I didn't find the time to post in it to answer him yet.

I think only a b/w picture - I'll look to see if I can find it.

Who/What are the Barkners?
It's the name the Creatures of Quintatha give themselves. I've mentioned that passingly in their description. Sorry for the confusion! :o

Maybe, but I cannot say exactly if it is the case.

There is also a monster in the Creature Collection 2 called Kadums Leviathan that may share a lot of similarities.
Maybe; It would require at least the removal of the Undead type.

You have the Creature Collection 2!?

What did you think of my entries? Moon Daemon (changed a bit); Iron Devil; Slarecian Dragon; Elder Larvae; Mirror Fiend; Hollow Naga (changed); Crown Naga (changed a lot).

Is it so surprising? I have most of the Scarred Lands books - The CC1, even though it has the rules partially wrong, was good enough to catch my interest for the rest of the setting.

I liked them. :)
How much were the Nagas changed?

Hi

Yes, I´m reading over it now and then...not in deep right now, because I can´t follow a conversion Perry Rhodan to d20 as much as I´d like, but I´m keeping an eye on the thread :)

Point is, I left the series with the stabilization of the PULSE, around issue 2200, because my money got shorter...and the small things are the first to go, sadly...but I must say a Perry Rhodan d20 game would be awesome in itself, even if it´d be hard to pull off, seeing as this story has 30 years of continuity on it´s shoulders...but it would still be great. Just imagine...a Haluter...the Strength alone...WOW :wow:

Glad to hear that! :)

Does that mean that you are from the future? ;) - The latest novel is 2123. I guess you meant 2100?

Just imagine...a Haluter...the Strength alone...WOW :wow:
I've put the strength of the Halutans at 27 right now - but this may change in the posted version.

Huh...found out...

...sorry, gotta get back into my time machine... ;)

Meant 2100, of course...silly typos... :D

But concerning high strength..I guess th high-G races might be tough to portray as PC races...imagine Ertrusans, Oxtornes or Halutans as PC races...who´d want to play a puny human? ;)
