I think the way to do it is to get access to the Healing domian (via a prestige class?)
Via a feat - Arcane Disciple.

Those of you panicing over the inbalance of it all, there are enough restrictions on the feat (use Wis to cast the spell, no more than 1 spell cast per spell level per day from the domain) that in practice it is pretty weak. Warmages and others who have full access to their spell list are the ones who _really_ like it.

On a slightly related topic,

If a Sorcerer does not have a spell, for example Magic Missile as one of his known spells can he still cast it from a wand? I think he can since it is on the Sorcerer class spell list but I am not 100% sure.

As long as it's on the Sorcerer list.

Note that a Specialist Wizard can't use a wand of a spell from a prohibited school, even though it's on the Wizard list.

The divine scroll cures 1d8+1 HP, and the arcane scroll cures 1d8+2 HP
Actually, the arcane version cures 1d8+4 HP. It's +1 per caster level, and minimum caster level for a bard to gain 2nd level spells is 4th level.

Nevermind, I was just totally misreading the earlier posts and misremembering the bard's spell list.

Perhaps you're thinking rangers?

Augh, possibly. More likely just poor reading comprehension on my part.

So if it's a Level 1 spell for Bards then why does it cost 50gp to cast?
Because they only get 1st level spells at 2nd class level, and the formula is spell level X class level X 25 gp.

D'oh! :o

Thanks for reminding me. I think someone mentioned it earlier in the thread.
