Seems it's set for 2007. Glad that one of the original writers is penning it. However, I'll remain cautiously optimistic until I hear more. Like many other folks, I loved the original.

There's also a story about a sequel to Dick Tracy (which I'm pretty sure flopped) and a Knight Rider movie. Both of those are hard to believe. (Though I wouldn't mind the latter)

Anyway, I hope they keep it muppets and not CG.

Anyone know what the article means when it says the Gelflings were killed during the credits? Been a while since I've seen Dark Crystal.

I thought it was in the opening credits/backstory that the Gelflings had all been killed off (save for the protagonist, so far as he knew).

Could be very cool. I hope maybe Brian Froud will be involved too.

I've always considered them to be more like the Nagpa myself. Nagpa are from the Mystara setting, basically spellcasters cursed into vulture-man hybrids. Their stats are in the old Mystara Monstrous Compendium appendix.
