"Do any of you have a club or mace I can borrow for a few minutes? My infusion will only work on a weapon I am using and won't work on my cross bow."

Will this do, friend artificer? Corran hands over his morningstar. But you might not want to wave it around too much until Jimneyblivet has sent the good neighbor on his way.

[Bluff and Diplomacy checks: Balnibar 23 and 18, Corran 21 and 22]

The gnome makes his speech, and Corran makes some claims to be representing the Inquisitive's guild in this matter as well. Cheep, delivering the placard, says a few things in support as well. The older dwarf closes his mouth, seeming to buy the bluff and nods. In a friendly manner, the dwarf chides, "Well then, but ta be warn'n yer neighbors next time!" With that he withdraws. [Diplomacy succeeds]

Sighing in relief, the group pauses a moment to ensure that no one is coming. When they suspect the coast is clear, Lorth takes his time and tosses the rope and grapple. With ample dexterity, the shifter latches the grapple with the fine rope, and it appears to hold. [Use Rope 16 vs 12 succeeds] The ascent is ready whenever the group is.

A pleased smile fills Genithar's face as the Wizard nods along good naturedly with Balnibar's explination. As Lorth secures the rope, the elf silently motions for him to go up and then points at Balnibar next.

Looking to Mathew, Genithar pantomimes aracne movements and points to the Morningstar and then gives a thumbs up.

Glancing at Corran, with a nod of encouragement to the youth, the Wizard then shoots an angular thumb at his own chest, and finally nods at Mathew, the last to go up.

oo; G will take 10 on the climb check

Lorth heads up the rope immediately.

Yet again placing a hand upon the young human's shoulder, Genithar queries in a whisper, "Perhaps a prayer to the Host, to lead us on?' and then presses himself against the lower wall of Aldus' living quarters, calmly awaiting his turn to shimmy up the rope.
