I will reiterate once again: The entire room is difficult terrain; no 5' steps anywhere within it.

Mathew takes the time to free himself completely, an leaves the square if possible.
He's as freed up as he can be (the entangled condition last until the goo fully goes away, no sooner). So you have a full round of action (a standard if you move).

Workroom Ruckus: Round 4

The canvas covering the flinger bunches and writhes, and two sharper pieces of junk fling forth! Fortunately for Mathew, they ping harmlessly over his head, blocked by the foes before him. [Flinger misses]

Eschewing the smoke covered gnome, the rogue instead steps over the fallen form of Corran. Lifting his left arm---revealing a sickening red/black scar like mark---his hand is slowly covered with a black aura. Balnibar is not fast enough to make use of the distraction [AoO misses], and Genithar cringes as his recognizes the power of an inflict spell. But as he reaches in, his arm gets caught in an out-sticking nail, and Mathew manages to move out of the way. [Misses]

Putting all he can into the shot to try to disrupt the mark's assault, Genithar manages to aim his bolt through haze, between friends, over the thug and directly into the rogue's chest! The man stumbles a moment in pain, but manages to concentrate---the black aura lingers! [Hit w/ AP; -4hp; spell not distrupted] As Corran moans in pain, the artificer quickly pulls out his crossbow, preparing to fire. Cheep, meanwhile, manages to sting the heavy in the arm again, distracting him. [-1hp].

Spinning around, the heavy slashes at the pesky creature behind him. The swing is wide as Cheep swerves out the way, Aldus yelling in dismay. This is the distraction Lorth and Balnibar need as they step around the heavy at attack! The shifter punches low with the first swing, but uses his momentum on a swing kick that sprawls the heavy out on the floor! [Miss and hit; 6hp; knocked unconscious] Balnibar pivots and jabs his rapier at the rogue, but the fellow dodges nimbly away. [Miss]

ooc; Woot! I actually cheered out loud at G's hit! Finally!

Deadly crossbow in one hand, Genithar snarls at the lone standing enemy, 'Stand down, 'Marked one! This battle is unwinnable for you!'

Swiftly jerking his heavily crafted Karnnathi dagger from it's sheathe, the Wizard brandishes the steel menacingly.

Then, taking a knee, places the thick blade at the neck of the fallen Rogue to his East and growls dangerously, "Stand Down, or I slit his throat." while to his friends he suggests, 'Lorth! Take out the Flinger! Mathew, use the thrice cursed scroll on Corran, man!'

Genithar's Almond eyes narrow as he awaits the scarred rogue's response.

draw and ready an action to throw the dagger at the rogue if he does anything except surrender. Bluff Check, please!

If the remaining bad guy is up and still hostile by Lorth's turn, the shifter moves next to the thug and takes a swing at him. If the bad guy is down or surrendered, he'll move toward the contruct and attempt a grapple to keep it from throwing any more missiles.

Mathew drops his readied cross bow and pulls out the scroll given to him earlier by Corrran. He opens the scroll and kneels beside his friend. He takes a deep breath as he focuses on the work to be done.

Well today is the day. It will be 3days until I have internet access again. Plus I have two children who need some “Daddy Time”. Not to mention a wife who needs “Husband Time”. So look for me again in about a week I think maybe sooner maybe later. Good luck and have fun.

[Bye, Mellub! See you soon and good trip!]

Workroom Ruckus: Round 5

With more grinding, the flinger struggles against the canvas. One piece of junk is caught in the cloth, but the other flies at the lithe homunculus. With a "hmph!", Cheep dodges out of the way.

Surrounded, the rogue is clever enough to use the tricks of his enemy. Stepping into the smoke, dodging the groups swings, the black-red arm strikes out again. As the long fingers grasp Mathew's arm, pain racks his body. It is only through shear will he manages to remain standing! [Touch attack hits; Will save succeeds; 1 hp; staggered]

Genithar pulls his dagger, the threatened bluff in the air. The rogue's face goes blank, apparently buying it. But his response is chilling. "All who join the House are ready to die for it." [Bluff succeeds, but it is a move action, so no actions left] While Corran lies still, the battered artificer strains to get his weakened body to just retrieve the scroll, hoping to survive long enough to use it. Meanwhile, Cheep sweeps forward in an attempt to string the rogue, but the smoke obscures the target. [Miss]

Determined, the shifter aims his blows carefully, trying to see through the haze. It is enough, and as the man's nose is crushed, he crumbles to the floor with a wet thud. Seeing this, the gnome rushes to the machinery, hoping to stop it.

Workroom Ruckus: Round 6

The group sees to their wounded while Balnibar attempts to disable the device. It almost has its revenge, smashing a discarded cloth bag in the gnome's forehead. [3 nonlethal] But the trained trapsmith deftly finds the connection vital to the firing mechanism, and with a quick twist, separates it. The flinger falls silent. [Disable Device check succeeds] Meanwhile, Mathew just manages to intone the right words on the scroll, a life and warmth floods back into the cleric. [9hp cured, Corran 7/9]
