SG1: An Old Friend (Wik Judging)

Nodding at his human companion, Genithar responds, 'Aye friend Corran, as you wish.' and leaves the rest of the gear where it lies.
Turning to Cheep/Aldus though, the Wizard asks off handedly, 'Good Master Aldus, I trust you shall extend to our group the rights to salvage gear from those we've battled in our cause to win your liberty? Once we've actually freed you, of course. Also, what lies in the chamber North of us?

Loading his crossbow and moving his dagger to the front of his belt, the Wizard seems ready to continue, nodding to Lorth.

ooc; Corran holds the other cure light scroll, Lorth is given the cure mod potion, and G has the oil of repair but handed both the smokesticks the group found, as well as the one from his personal gear, to the three character's mentioned. The bought gear is still around too, G has a tanglefoot bag and the near-manacles, does anyone else still have stuff? Besides the gear/gold G just grabbed, I don't think anyone else is holding gear found in Aldus' residence. Am I wrong there?

OOC: IVV is prolly busy moving cross country and such still, so I'm going to move forward a bit.

The damage on Cheep closes up. Cheep bobs its head in thanks.

As the group gets ready, Genithar and Lorth notice Balnibar put aside the hefty book from Aldus' store to adjust his weaponry.

Happy to be putting his years of study to praticle use Mathew readies his crossbow for further exploration of the shop. "Does anyone have any ideas on how to best go about this? A direct assualt is probably unwise at this point, but we don't know enough about the layout to be covert. I am not skilled in this type of combat but am willing to learn."

Waiting for the group to get themselves in order to proceed, Genithar approaches Balnibar, asking, 'If I may?' and picks up the book, attempting to discern what it is and then checking it for mentions of the Draconic Prophesy, Aberrant Dragonmarks, or an Aberrant Dragonmarked House.

ooc; i'm ready to go north

Aldus describes that the room ahead is the room where the leader and the kobold wait and argue currently. It is a large room with some specialized equipment. Not quite as stuffed as this room, and larger. Aldus can see a least one other in the room, but it extends beyond his sight. As it is the last room in this part of the complex, his homunculus companions must be elsewhere. The only other entrance to the room is through a neighboring building, and Aldus knows there is at least some guards there.

With Balnibar's help, Genithar scans through the clippings. One article seems promising---something about the Koldoran Piece. It was a schema from deep in Xen'drik that bore marks similar to those of known aberrant dragonmarks. However, it was stolen from the transport back from Stormreach before Aldus' group could deliver it to Morgrave.

Cheep suddenly starts, and opens it mouth as if to say something when the door opens at the north side of the room. Standing in it is a swarthy fellow, a blue-black scar on his face that is not natural---another aberrant mark. He scowls at the gathered party, their weapons ready... but his hands are away from his. Distastefully, he says, "You're those sods that dwarf musta hired. Put those weapons away---the boss wanna talk to you."

Stowing his crossbow, as he moves towards the back of the group, the Wizard smirks as he asks, "And who might you be, sir?"

Slyly, Genithar slips a hand into his spell pouch as he eyes the new comer up and down.

ooc; Diplomacy check! Also, what weapons/armor/gear does this new guy carry?

OOC: Diplomacy takes more than 1 sentence to carry off unless you are trying a rushed roll (at -10). Genithar and Lorth notice the man is carrying a short sword, and seems to have some rough leathers underneath his scruffy clothes.

The man's eyes narrow as he see's Genithar's sly movements. [G fails opposed Bluff/Sense Motive] "Hands away from that too, caster. Who I am be none of your business. The boss wants to see you, and that's that."

Standing on his tip toes, his hand staying near his components, the Wizard attempts to peer over the swarthy tough, looking for any reinforcements.

Left eyebrow arching questioningly, Genithar asks quietly, 'And if we refuse?'
