Combat
Krakens strike their opponents with their barbed tentacles, then grab and crush with their arms or drag victims into their huge jaws.
Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, the kraken must hit an opponent of up to gargantuan size with an arm or tentacle attack. If it gets a hold, it can constrict.
Constrict (Ex): A kraken deals automatic arm or tentacle damage with a successful grapple check against gargantuan or smaller creatures.
Jet (Ex): A kraken can jet backward once per round as a double move action, at a speed of 840 feet.
Ink Cloud (Ex): A kraken can emit a cloud of jet-black ink 80 feet high by 80 feet wide by 120 feet long once per minute as a free action. The cloud provides total concealment, which the kraken normally uses to escape a losing fight. Creatures within the cloud suffer the effects of total darkness.
Spell-Like Abilities: 1/day-control weather, control winds, dominate animal, and resist elements. These abilities are as the spells cast by a 24th-level druid (save DC 28 + spell level).



Now, I'm not the best at advancing creatures, but I think I got everything. The CR might be off and if it is so is the SR.

For use in SHARK-WORLD!!! I was thinking that maybe we could give him either some Sorcerer levels (Monte's variant) focused on domination type magic... or maybe some Psion (Telepath) levels for something along the same lines, but a bit more flavorful...

That sounds good. It needs class level, better epic feats, and better skill distrubution. But frankly the number crunchy was just to much fun. It's a good start, I think.
 

This guy is inslaves many races, by the Sea Elves by far number the most. I'm more inclined to go with Sorcerer levels as psionics might be a little to much for this world. I'm not sure how many to give him. Compared to the Water elemental he needs a lot to catch up. Should we aim for all 4 of the big beasts to be about the same CR for balance sake?
 

Well, if there were an imbalance somewhere been them personal-power-wise that could be compensated for by powerful minions or items...

I was thinking that, too. But what sort of powerful creature could the Kraken have, yet not be a threat to him? What would make a good lieutenant ?

Heh... I wonder if you'll do a paragon tarrasque some day! :D

He's basically a demi god without the DR. Why have the ELH if you can't have fun with it? But it's the Paragon Primal Water Elemental that is really over the top. Take a look at The Real Shark World thread in Plots and places to see what madness brought these creations on.

A Paragon, Tarrasque....Actually, I think Pseudonatural one would be better.
