Shoot decided that it was just as well that some of the others retired to the back room, especially the woman. She used as many big words as Anvuss, but the difference was that when Anvuss spoke, Shoot could usually figure out what he was saying. This Siobhan woman...she sure talked about a lot of stuff that Shoot didn't understand!

"Spirits are very overrated, but then the only ones i have experience with are ancient ghosts or Mournland haunts."

The robed dwarf, maybe a bit late, takes advantage of the part of the group moving to speak to the elf. "have you seen any undead? Firsthand, I mean"

Shearan turns to the dwarf. "Yes. Let's see, more skeletons and zombies than I can count, two ghosts, a wight, a zombiefied carcass crab..." Shearan shivers ", a vampire spawn and the remains of some Karrnathi experiment. Then theres the stuff that isn't technically undead. Conjured Valenar ancestral spirits, deathless and a flesh golem. The golem I didn't get more than about 5 seconds of a look at."

Seat bring out his notebook. "That´s nice. I´ve read about all you described, but to the date only seen a zombie. We had it tied to the dissection table while we did the autopsy, since it was out of control and the professor that could cast Control undead was on vacation." says the dwarf cheerfully. "We had a blast that day. One of the students, a half elf named Barbara fainted, and we taunted her all the rest of the semester saying ´They are coming for you, Barbara´. The other thing was the professor commenting ´In extreme circumstances, the assailants can be stopped by removing the head or destroying the brain. I will repeat that: by removing the head or destroying the brain.´ Ah, good times"

Um, I saw at least one zombie take a ballista to the head and keep on coming, so I'm not sure that always works.

"You sure? Most interesting" asks the dwarf while taking notes. "It could be the case it wasn´t a zombie, there are other undead creatures that look a lot like them. I´d like to hear the exact circumstances."

"With all of your experience with undead, one wonders... did you encounter the Karnathi during the war?"

Well, the thing had been animated by a Blood of Vol acolyte off a scroll as we were riding up. It was about the size an ogre and freshly killed. The thing moved slowly and jerkily. Decapitating it had no noticable effect, but that was exactly what our training predicted. Then our commander went and filetted the thing with her double scimitar.
