"Shoot, do you hear the spirits calling to your soul?"
"What an odd question", thought Shoot. "No, I don't hear spirits calling to me. Nothing like that." After a couple of moments, he added, "But you know, sometimes it's like everything around me is alive. Not here in the city, though. It's not like that here."

"They are all alive. Each and every living thing has a spirit, and the spirits speak in dreaming glimpses to those who can hear their whispers. Here though in the city...you're right, it is a dismal place. Mostly the cries of the despairing, the damned, and the forsaken souls are the only things here."

(OOC: Was tempted to say "I know every rock and tree and creature has a life, has a spirit, has a name :p)

OOC: No you don't! Not unless there's a new joint venture between WotC and Disney that I don't know about!

BTW, are all your characters Strangers In A Strange Land who think the Strange Land is evil, or just the two that my characters have adventured with? ;)

(OOC: Uhh, I think those may have been the only two I've ever played who were anything like that, and Siobhan doesn't fit that exactly. Siobhan sort of knows what she's about, but she's a bit insane, and she doesn't like cities. She thinks Breland is a nice place, though, except Sharn. Lasair is definitely that, to a T (although she doesn't think the new land is evil, just very unusual in general, though she did not like Covington in particular). I'd never played one before. It's sometimes fun :))

OOC: 'sOK. I've never played anyone quite as slow as Shoot before. Change is good! :)

For any DMs who might be thinking about recruiting amidst all of this chaos, here's a list of those hoping to be recruited. My pardon in advance for any errors. I'll edit if I missed someone, or if I accidentally included someone on E13's adventure.

Aidan, Human Paladin (icycool)
Anvuss, Warforged Artificer (Patlin)
Seat, Dwarven Archivist (Someone)
Shoot, Warforged Druid (El Jefe)
Meksoor Dhakaan, Hobgoblin ?? (Anti-Sean)
Raven Thorn, ??? ???? (Manzanita)

A tall elf in studded leather walks in and sits down at the bar. He puts a double-bladed curved sword down, leaning it against the barstool.

"So, this is the Tower's Shard? Looks like I should fit in. Sorta. My name's Shearan. Want to hear the story about the exorsism or the psycho warforged titan?
Shearan listens to the conversation the others are having for a second than changes to their topic. "Spirits are very overrated, but then the only ones i have experience with are ancient ghosts or Mournland haunts."

"Titans were never very reliable. I recall the time that the 17th Heavy Infantry was ambushed by Thranish scouts. The titan, having been poorly directly, began to systematically remove the heads of all human officers of the 17th. Thrane won that day, and I received this permanent reminder." The warforged points to a serrated gash on the admantine below his right armpit.

"Those aren't spirits. Those are undead. Spirits are the primal forces of nature that connect us to our world."
"Connects you humanoids, perhaps. Spirits are either hard-to-hit targets or resilient fleshbags to me."
