Should 3.x Have its own General Forum?

Yes, lets try to 'fix' all the attitudes for the 70K members here...

... and in the mean time, I am waiting for my winning Lotto ticket.

really... what is the harm in having a separate forum? At least for a while until the dust settles.

Hi Corjay
I agree. I think a separate 3.x General would go a long way in mitigating all the strife around here.

What would be better, if people would just start respecting others opinions. It would also be nice if people would realize there's no such thing as bad, wrong fun.

I think it's a bad idea.

I can't see a need for a 3E General forum; there isn't a 4E General forum, or a d20 General forum - General, by definition, is a general forum.

I also don't want to segregate people any more than we have done.

Nope. I still see 3E threads in General all the time. They seem to be able to exist next to the 4E threads without exploding so I say leave it alone.

I don't think someone with a handful of posts and who has only been here a few months should worry about long time users feeling welcome here or not.

How about a 4E General discussion forum? The general discussion forum is about half questions about 4E that aren't really rules questions and certainly aren't fan creations. Stuff like exploring 4E economics, the dragonborn ecology, DDI, the cost/availability of 4E pdfs, 4E adventures, etc.

Or perhaps re-purpose the 4E rules forum to include such queries, and perhaps then 3.x discussions of such things could go into the previous edition D&D forum.
