Shouldn't drawing arrows from your quiver be a 'drawing a weapon' move equivelent act

Note that under 3.0 under PHB ch. 7, "Equipment: Crossbow, Heavy" it said this:

This was confirmed by the Sage, even it was printed in an odd location. Not the first or last time that Dragon magazine published something with erroneous rules usage.

Silly 3.0. I'm glad 3.5 clarifies that TWF works with thrown weapons.

If by "clarifies" you mean "completely changes", that's fine :)

Note that even in 3E, you could gain an extra attack with a thrown weapon in your off-hand. What you couldn't do was reduce the penalties via the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. Also, you couldn't gain more than one extra attack with ITWF etc.

In 3.5, you can do both of those things.

I appreciate those all-too-rare instances where a rule actually takes into account ambiguities and the mind of the power gamer. Many gamers see the TWF and think "Cool! I get an extra attack if I have a second weapon--even a thrown weapon", and in 3.5 they took the time to specifically call out thrown weapons.

I wish the same attention to detail was shown with Hide in Plain Sight (the shadowdancer ability, not the ranger ability), archer AoOs when the archer is wearing spiked gauntlets, and meta-magic rods.

Might be fun to make "Gloves of Throwing", which acts like a +1 bow: any thrown weapon counts as having a +1 enchantment. :)

Not a bad idea, I'd likely price it somewhere between the magic weapon costs and amulet of magic fang(forget its name).

Would knives in a sheath take a little more time to draw than arrows in a quiver? The knife is heald more securely, and there' sprobablly only one in each area, while there's small pile of loosely held arrows.

Of course, that then begs the question of if an archer gets knocked over/turned upside down, do they lose ammo?

Maybe you're just 1st level and have Point Blank Shot and Rapid Shot (I'm assuming you're human, Darklone)? And does the eyepatch cause you additional penalites for lack of depth perception? ;)
Not sure about the race, I must be something that does not need sleep to survive...
I don't know... how accurate are you with those two shots? You might be a level 10 fighter dude if you hit most of the time.

I know someone who can fire an arrow every 2 seconds with great accuracy. (He is a very skilled bow hunter that goes after bear usually) He would probably be a level 15 fighter dude.
Wow. My best result was 26 arrows in a minute, but I'm usually at 15-20. And after this minute I drop dead (longbows are tough).

Of these arrows, usually all but one hit a immobile human torso sized target at 100 ft.

I'm starting to think you might be an Elf, Darklone. And your ability with the longbow is impressive. I'm still not letting you shoot an apple off of my head if you ever make it to North Carolina. :D

Hmm gloves of throwing +1 shock, flaming + Throw Anything feat + the throwing based PrC from Complete Warrior (Hulking Hurler?) = fun, Gambit style :D
