Hey
Mistergone: Thanks a bunch, I'll check it out. I've heard that some stuff from Swashbuckling Adventures is underpowered compared to normal D&D - would this be an exception to that statement?
Hypersmurf: Are feats supposed to have a downside? I mean (seriously not trying to be offensive here) I'd say ~99.999% of feats provide a benefit without a downside other than the fact that you had to use a feat choice to acquire it.
I could see some hefty ability requirements for such a feat, maybe requirements of 15+ in Strength and Constitution. Other downsides could include the -2 penalty to Dexterity, the -1 penalty to AC and to hit, and maybe cutting out the bonuses to Strength, Constitution and natural AC (perhaps to reflect the fact that, while some humans IRL can be classified as Large, they aren't necessarily stronger, tougher, or healthier than a person of normal height). Let's also not forget the other disadvantages to being Large ... entering buildings, finding a bed to sleep in, buying armor and (to a lesser extent) clothes, finding a mount that can carry you, and the occasional stoning by peasants who think you're some kind of ogre
All in all I think such an option should exist, if not as a feat than as a Mongoose Publishing-esque background or ... something. I dunno what. All I know is that I wanna play a guy that makes Shaq look small without resorting to half-ogre or some other nonsense. Thanks for your time guys.
