Giant Robots, flying stuff and Jolie, does it get any better then this?

Thunderbirds, looks like a fun movie based off a fun show. Has Bill Paxton made a bad film?

I think both of these movies are at least future guilty pleasures. The sad thing is that they will most likely do poorly at the box Office.

Is the film based on an original source material? If so, do you know where I can look for it/them?

Try DC's Blackhawk comics. It's not directly based on them, but it certainly pulls more than a little bit of inspiration from them.

The giant robots are more a 40's-50's robot design, not anime, but to be fair both Big O and Giant Robo are inspired by this style of robot design as well.

I can't wait for it. It looks F-U-N!

The flying robots look almost identical to flying robots found in very early (1930s?) Max Fleischer Superman cartoons.

I can't wait to see this :D

Contents look cheezy to me.

Right, and we see.. a few face shots, and a guy flying around fighting robots. That's plenty upon which to base opinions of the contents

Oh, yeah! The one that Lois sneeks into when they're robbing a bank! Early '40s, btw.

Even cooler, the Green Ronin game Spaceship Zero should be able to duplicate this sort of style perfectly. I'm looking forward to the movie.

Me, too. I just hope the story, dialogue, and acting are similar to the 1930's & 40's pulp serial movies. The last thing I want to hear is some crappy lingo from the present-day.
