Just a reminder that the new episode of Smallville returns tonight at 8 p.m.

According to the previews, Lex gets an evil twin from a Krypto-explosion. I await to see if this is as clichéd as it appears. :)

Quickie note on Smallville and the upcoming Superman Returns movie:

One of the Smallville producers (can't remember if it was Millar or Gough) said they had a meeting with Superman Returns' director Bryan Singer, and that there will be an event in the fifth season of Smallville that will have repercussions in Superman Returns. Speculation ensues.

Just sharing. :)

Neat. What's your source?

So, what happened? Did twin Lex discover Clark's true nature only to be conveniently erased just before he could reveal it?

lol

But hey, Smallville is somewhat better than A-Team - it's got more than one plot.

So we get the Smallville's Star Trek plot, evil vs good, and if you ever saw that ST:OS Show the same questions hang over this story, the parts make the whole. ST did it better. ;)

That statement was made by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough to the french movie site EcranLarge, during M & G's stay in Paris for the Jules Verne festival going on there.

Smart Aleck. :) Yes. :D

SPOILERS AHOY

I watched it, hackneyed though the plot was, but it served ONE (and only ONE) purpose: To bring Lionel back as his old self. Lex beat some evil-sense back into him, by making him strike him in a fencing duel. They could have accomplished this with some other means (say, one of Lionel's old crime-boss friends coming back and reminding him of what a "pansy-whipped" version of himself he was), but I'm waiting to see what it really does mean in the end. Apparently, even Clark's goodness-vibe can't fix Lionel's inky-blackity-black-dark-as-a-coalmine soul.

It had one other purpose, putting a strain on Lex's and Lana's relationship by revealing to Lana that Lex had secret-lusty-pirate-feelings for her, but that depends on if they do anything with that in the future, or if they just write it off like it never happened.

Chloe's relevance is building, with the little pow-wow she and Clark had over the goodness of sharing your secrets with those closest to you, and it makes me think she'll either die or be written off soon, because they're dropping hints like free matchbooks.

"You're always around when I need you, Clark - I hope I can return the favor someday."
"You share your secrets with those you love, because otherwise you're all alone."

Yeah, she's as good as gone. :)

Pretty good ep. Lex, as usual, delivered the goods. When he's good, he's good. When he's bad he's good. When he's both, it's all good. And there really is no clear indication of how much "good Lex" remembers of what happened or if he will or won't recover said memories in the future.

The best parts of the ep were the Lex/Superman (yeah, I said it) bits. Especially the "even with all your powers, I still beat you" stuff. Yeah, it was a little twirly-mustache-evil-guy but Lex has always had some of that in him. I always love it when the show is able to show that kind of thing.

Yeah, it did give one a sort of foreshadowing, didn't it. I also get a kick out of the occasional reference in there - "You possess powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men."

I gotta wonder how Rosenbaum can say lines like that with a straight face. :)
