For those who Tivoed it can you go back and look at the scene where Zod is pummeling Clark up against the rock. I could have sworn that a bunch of blood gushed from Tom's mouth in one first few punches.

It did, then a few more punches, then when Clark looks up, you can see a faint red smear across his cheek where the blood used to be.

I never read the comics but does superman bleed? I mean if a bullet can't hurt him should he bleed from a punch :\

Zod is hitting him much harder than a bullet would and Clark isn't up to full Superman strength anyways.

It did look like Clark was upset that Chloe downplayed the whole kiss at the end of lat season. But at the same time there was a little chemesty between him and Lois in the hospital.

I think Lana is finally out of the picture so that now brings it down to double love angst.

He does when something can finally get through his defenses. He's being pummeled by someone with Kryptonian strength, so for him it's just like us getting hit by a normal person.

A better question would be, did he do it by damage type or by rolling damage?
