Snake Men (Yuan Ti)

Gospog

First Post
I really like the Reaper Snake Men minis.
Because she rules, my wife got me some for my birthday (along with a bunch of other RPG stuff)

Anyway, wanting each to be unique, I swapped out the weapons on my "doubles".

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Thanks, Jshock.

The halberd head is from an old Repulsar Knight from the fantasy wargame Chronopia (imagine Chainmail on steroids).

The handle is just a piece of wire, with the ball at the end made from green stuff putty.

Good paint job on the minis, Gospog. Makes me wish I had time and inclination for such tasks again. Nowadays I just take my chances with pre-painted boxes of MageKnight. :o

Thanks, guys!

Ruined One,
I won't lie and say it's easy, but it is really fun!

Thanks again for the kind words, be sure to check out my Ogre Bull Myrmidon in another post to this board!

Good eye, frankthedm!

Yes, yes it is. I loved the HeroQuest boxed sets. They provided tons of minis for very little $$$ and I could buy them at a "normal" store. :)

I like that wild yellow-green color mix; makes them look extra-mutanty. ;-)

Here's the same Snakemen done with a more reptilian approach.

Gizzard's Snakemen

The focus is really on the cult leader, so the snakemen are a bit fuzzy, but you get the idea. I also did a little weapons switch, you can see one guy with a GW Orc blade and another holding the blade facing down. I experimented with trying to modify the positions of the head and arms a bit, but that's relatively subtle and you probably wont catch it unless you have actually worked on these figs.

I really have to set up my painting desk again! ;-)
