Yes, exactly. When one begins to think they know it all, that's pretty much when one begins to stagnate. In any pursuit of life, one should always be in the process of learning.

I can't find anything about a wearable wand, though. It is not a signature trait. The closest I can find to a wearable wand is the casting glove, a form of glove of storing that allows you to use a stored potion, rod, wand, scroll, or staff as if you were holding it in your hand.

Hmmm... I don't see that one in the magic items chapter at all.

Signature Traits are cosmetic. They can add bonuses to Bardic Knowledge checks (and other Lore-type checks) about the item. For example, when examining a sword:

"See that ring of religious symbols around the pommel ? That's the type of decorative work Handar, High Priest of Pelor used on things he made. He did not make many magical blades, so this is likely either 'Edge of Heaven' or 'Ray of Light'."

Edit: It is quite possible that the Signature Traits included a "Wearable" entry at some point; the illustration looks like the wand is made into the body of the glove.

Agreed! And having now read the bulk of chapter one, as well as bits and pieces of the rest of the book, I've learned several things -- and filed away some useful tools for future consideration. This is a neat book, better than I expected when I bought it.
