I welcomed a nearly-all-girl group into the fold not too long ago....palyed with 'em for two years, and still play with the girls from the group (though it has grown in size, and some have decided to take a break to go study in Japan....suckers!).

All randy college co-eds, most of them as hoplessly nerdy as I am. :)

No need to do anything TOO special....just the usual first-timer stuff (probably want to whip up character sheets in advance so that you can just tell them where too look to see stuff, etc.)
I doubt I'll be whipping up anybody's sheets.

BWA-HA-HA!

I'll just hope my wife succeeds in her dream of making D&D a pursuit pursued by a broader segment of society (or should I say a segment of broads?)

BWA-HA-HA!

Stop me, please, somebody!

Actually flight attendants makes a lot of sense to me if oyur wife is actively trying to bring more women into the fold of rpg'rs. Their hopping around from city to city and even country to country, they really dont get much time in anyone place to really enjoy their stopovers as a real tourist.

I picture them more like navy and merchant marines hitting a port and having a short limited time to do anything, whch means mostly hitting the bars and clubs to relieve stress, I assume that gets old after awhile for them too.

Gaming would seem a logical thing to try, those that wish for mental stimulus get it and gaming in general of course is a great stress reliever and it wont be the same old thing every time which happens with bars and clubs, becuase in the end it doesnt matter which city or country the bar or club is in, their all the same in the end.

I think the only limiting factor for flight attendants male or female in being steady rpg'rs is the limited amount of personal items they can feasible lug around, I cant picture someone lugging a ton of rpg books around in suitcases, their basically limited to carry-ons same as passengers from what I have ever seen of them in airports.

Your setting also sounds perfect thing to throw at them too compared to a more typical fantasy or modern setting.

Goodluck on the game

oh while we're doing the pthyonian stuff...

eeeeee

Oh, no, they're playing "Kung Fu Angels" -- my almost-patented, Charlie's Angels, Wuxia Cuthulhu game. Here's the startup web page: Kung Fu Angels.

Now THAT'S entertainment!

Looks great Barsoomcore - did you consult with them about the kind of character personalities they want to play? I like how they all have different schticks and well defined roles in the group. It looks like a really good way to have some fun roleplaying while kicking plenty of booty D&D-style.

Oh yes, she's an avid player now. She loses more characters than anyone else but she's the most engaged player I have.

She's not engaged - she's married! *ba-dum-bump!*

Thank you, Thank you! I'm here 'till friday! try the veal...

there really really is a god.

Nonsense. If there really, really is a god, they' want to join MY game. Or that TV show idea I had that was essentially Tenchi but all women were games would come true...

All I know is that if I don't see a picture of this gaming group at some point in the immediate future, I'll hunt you down, and beat you with smelly fish.

That's a deal. The game should be on sometime in November, and I'll probably post a Story Hour with character and player pics, if I can.
